Existence and uniqueness for anisotropic and crystalline mean curvature flows [PDF]
An existence and uniqueness result, up to fattening, for crystalline mean curvature flows with forcing and arbitrary (convex) mobilities, is proven. This is achieved by introducing a new notion of solution to the corresponding level set formulation. Such

Coplanar constant mean curvature surfaces
We consider constant mean curvature surfaces of finite topology, properly embedded in three-space in the sense of Alexandrov. Such surfaces with three ends and genus zero were constructed and completely classified by the authors in arXiv:math.DG/0102183.

On Curvature Pinching for Submanifolds with Parallel Normalized Mean Curvature Vector
In this note, we investigate the pinching problem for oriented compact submanifolds of dimension n with parallel normalized mean curvature vector in a space form Fn+p(c).

Network topology drives population temporal variability in experimental habitat networks
Habitat patches connected by dispersal pathways form habitat networks. We explored how network topology affects population outcomes in laboratory experiments using a model species (Daphnia carinata). Central habitat nodes in complex lattice networks exhibited lower temporal variability in population sizes, suggesting they support more stable ...

On mean curvature flow with forcing [PDF]
This paper investigates geometric properties and well-posedness of a mean curvature flow with volume-dependent forcing. With the class of forcing which bounds the volume of the evolving set away from zero and infinity, we show that a strong version of star-shapedness is preserved over time.

Graphs with constant mean curvature in the 3-hyperbolic space
In this work we will deal with disc type surfaces of constant mean curvature in the three dimensional hyperbolic space which are given as graphs of smooth functions over planar domains.

Making tau amyloid models in vitro: a crucial and underestimated challenge
This review highlights the challenges of producing in vitro amyloid assemblies of the tau protein. We review how accurately the existing protocols mimic tau deposits found in the brain of patients affected with tauopathies. We discuss the important properties that should be considered when forming amyloids and the benchmarks that should be used to ...

Constant mean curvature spheres in homogeneous three-manifolds [PDF]
We prove that two spheres of the same constant mean curvature in an arbitrary homogeneous three-manifold only differ by an ambient isometry, and we determine the values of the mean curvature for which such spheres exist.
