CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Diagnostic implication of mean platelet volume in thrombocytopenia
Background: A well-known cause of thrombocytopenia is peripheral platelet destruction in which the circulating platelets are premature and large. Many times a bone marrow examination is conducted to find out the etiology of thrombocytopenia.

LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Effect of Sleeve Gastrectomy on Platelet Counts and Mean Platelet Volumes [PDF]
Abstract Background: Obesity is a chronic metabolic disorder associated with cardiovascular disease, characterized by a chronic proinflammatory and prothrombotic state. Circulating platelets may differ in size and hemostatic potential. Larger platelets contain more granules and produce greater amounts of vasoactive and prothrombotic factors.

Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathy due to Biallelic Pathogenic Variants in PIGM
ABSTRACT Objective PIGM encodes a critical enzyme in the glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)‐anchor biosynthesis pathway. While promoter‐region mutations in PIGM have been associated with a relatively mild phenotype characterized by portal vein thrombosis and absence seizures, recent evidence suggests that coding‐region mutations result in a more severe

Relationship between platelet counts, mean platelet volume, platecrit and Beta Thalassemia Carriers
Aim: β-thalassemia carriers (BTC) is generally asymptomatic;however, in clinical practice, there is hypochromic microcytic mildanemia caused by a hereditary reduction in beta globin synthesis. In the literature, there is also some information about ...

Added Prognostic Value of EEG Reactivity in Comatose Patients Following Cardiac Arrest
ABSTRACT Objectives To evaluate the added prognostic value of EEG reactivity for favorable outcome compared with background analysis during and after targeted temperature management (TTM). Methods Prospective observational cohort study of comatose post–cardiac arrest patients admitted to a single academic center between 2017 and 2022, all undergoing ...
