Mean Residual Lifetime Frailty Models: A Weighted Perspective
The mean residual life frailty model and a subsequent weighted multiplicative mean residual life model that requires weighted multiplicative mean residual lives are considered. The expression and the shape of a mean residual life for some semiparametric models and also for a multiplicative degradation model are given in separate examples.

Weighted survival functional entropy and its properties
The weighted generalized cumulative residual entropy is a recently defined dispersion measure. This article introduces a new uncertainty measure as a generalization of the weighted generalized cumulative residual entropy, called it the weighted ...

In the present work, we study the combined m-consecutive-k-out-of-n: F and kc-out-of-n: F reliability systems, which consist of independent and identically distributed components.

Mean residual lifetime assessment approach for a multi-state standby system
In this paper, a new MRL assessment approach for a multi-state standby system is considered. The three-state system is backed up with a binary cold standby unit. Given that the system is at a specific state at time t, obtaining the MRL is worth considering in conducting the maintenance and repair plans of the system. For different degradation rates and

We consider the reliability function of a k-out-of-n system under conditions that failures of its components lead to an increase in the load on the remaining ones and, consequently, to a change in their residual lifetimes.

Mean Residual Lifetimes of Consecutive-k-out-of-n Systems [PDF]
In this paper we study reliability properties of consecutive-k-out-of-n systems with exchangeable components. For 2k ≦ n, we show that the reliability functions of these systems can be written as negative mixtures (i.e. mixtures with some negative weights) of two series (or parallel) systems.

On the Network Reliability under Shock Models [PDF]
In the study of the reliability of systems in reliability engineering, it has been defined several measures in the reliability and survival analysis literature. The reliability function, the mean residual lifetime and the hazard rate are helpful tools to

The Nadarajah-Haghighi Lindley distribution
: We define a new lifetime model based on compounding the Lindley and Nadarajah-Haghighi distributions. The proposed distribution is very competitive to other lifetime models.
