Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Forecasting of Annual Rainfall using Fuzzy Logic Interval Based Partitioning in Different Intervals

open access: yesRatio Mathematica, 2023
Fuzzy time series models have been proposed by many researchers around the world for rainfall forecasting, but the forecasting has not been as accurate as existing methods. Frequency density or ratio-based segmentation methods have been used to represent

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Lookup Table Algorithm for Error Correction in Color Images

open access: yesJOIV: International Journal on Informatics Visualization, 2018
Error correction and error detection techniques are often used in wireless transmission systems. A color image of type BMP is considered as an application of developed lookup table algorithms to detect and correct errors in these images.

The ε-normalized sign regressor least mean square (NSRLMS) adaptive algorithm

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, expressions are derived for the steady-state and tracking excess-mean-square error (EMSE) of the ε-normalized sign regressor least mean square (NSRLMS) adaptive algorithm.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Evaluation of load forecasting using different models

open access: yesMeasurement: Energy
This paper addresses a new prediction of load technique that joins the adaptability of RNNs with the capabilities of temporal modelling of Kolmogorov–Arnold Recurrent with good accuracy, because in energy management, load forecasting is essential since ...

Linearization of randomly excited nonlinear systems by using local mean square error criterion

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Mechanics, 2000
The paper presents the analysis of three non-linear systems under random excitation by using Local Mean Square Error Criterion which is an extension of Gaussian Equivalent Linearization proposed by Caughey.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Minimum mean square distance estimation of a subspace [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We consider the problem of subspace estimation in a Bayesian setting. Since we are operating in the Grassmann manifold, the usual approach which consists of minimizing the mean square error (MSE) between the true subspace U and its estimate U may not be ...
