Computing Steady-State Mean Time to Failure for Non-Coherent Repairable Systems

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 2005
Mean time to failure (MTTF) is an important reliability measure. Previous research is mainly concerned with the MTTF computation of coherent systems. In this paper, we derive equations to calculate the steady-state MTTF for noncoherent systems. Based on the equations, we extend the BDD by adding an intersection edge in each BDD node to efficiently ...

Mean Time to Achieve a Failure-Free Requirement with Imperfect Repair

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 1985
Summary: This paper obtains expressions for the mean test time to achieve a failure-free requirement with imperfect repair, under two plans. First do complete repair (good as new) at an even number of failures and partial repair (bad as old) otherwise. Next do complete repair at every k-th failure and partial repair otherwise.

Analisis Preventive Maintenance pada Mesin Heater Kernel Dengan Metode Menghitung Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) dan Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) di PT. Supra Matra Abadi

JURNAL UNITEK, 2023
Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk meminimalisir dan mengetahui jadwal Preventive Maintenance mesin Heater Kernel yang efektif dan mengetahui sejauh mana Preventive Maintenance pada mesin Heater Kernel dengan metode Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) dan Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) dapat membantu mengurangi Breakdown dan downtime. Mean Time Between Failure (

Mean time to first failure of repairable systems with one cold spare

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 1995
A general (nonMarkov) 1-out-of-2:G system with statistically-identical components, repair, and cold standby is reviewed. Coverage is considered, viz, failures of the switching mechanism for activating the spare. The explicit derivation of the mean time-to-first-failure and its in-depth discussion appear to be new.

A Method for the Calculation of the Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) of Repairable System

Advanced Materials Research, 2008
The ability of executing assigned function of repairable system under certain condition is quite different from that of single unit due to redundant configuration. It is well understood that proper management strategy can greatly prolong the mean time to failure (MTTF) of repairable system.

Mean Time to System Failure for a 4-Unit Redundant Repairable System

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 1974
The mean time-to-system-failure is derived for a system with 4-identical components, each of which has a constant failure rate and unspecified repair rate.

A Censored Sequential Posterior Odd Test (SPOT) Method for Verification of the Mean Time To Repair

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 2008
The verification of the Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) is a problem of interest in many practical cases. As maintenance time can often be adequately described by a lognormal distribution, the problem leads us to research on statistical inference on the mean of the lognormal distribution. To achieve this purpose, we propose the Sequential Posterior Odd Test

Modelling and evaluation of mean time to repair at product design stage based on contextual criteria

Journal of Engineering Design, 2013
Time to repair of a mechanical system is a function of its maintainability and external influences in the plant. Repairability means the ease of maintenance. In this paper, repairability features of the mechanical system are identified, and are modelled in terms of repairability digraph. The nodes in the digraph represent the repairability features and
