In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

We present some characterizations of the harmonic pseudospheres in terms of the so called Kuran's functions and of the single-layer potentials. Our characterizations apply to solid, harmonically stable domains.

On the mean value theorem for analytic functions. [PDF]
The author looks for a certain analogue of the mean value theorem for analytic functions defined in the unit disk \({\mathbb{D}}\) of the complex plane \({\mathbb{C}}\). Therefore, he defines for some region \(R\subset {\mathbb{C}}\) the family B(R) of analytic functions on \({\mathbb{D}}\) with f'(\({\mathbb{D}})\subset R\), and m(R) to be the ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Mean value problems of Flett type for a Volterra operator
In this note we give a generalization of a mean value problem which can be viewed as a problem related to Volterra operators. This problem can be seen as a generalization of a result concerning the zeroes of a Volterra operator in the Banach space of ...
