The Comparability of Measures in the Ageism Module of the Fourth Round of the European Social Survey, 2008-2009

open access: yesSurvey Research Methods, 2020
Age is an important dimension that is used by people to categorize others. Age-based discrimination is directed toward specific age groups (young and old).

Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Roxarestat in Regulating Renal Anemia in Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of roxarestat versus recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) in the management of renal anemia in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. Methods This was a prospective, open‐label, randomized controlled trial.

Measurement invariance within and between subjects: A distinct problem in testing the equivalence of intra- and inter-individual model structures.

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2014
We address the question of equivalence between modeling results obtained on intra-individual and inter-individual levels of psychometric analysis. Our focus is on the concept of measurement invariance and the role it may play in this context.

Estimating Equivalence Scale for Iranian Rural Household [PDF]

open access: yesفصلنامه پژوهش‌های اقتصادی ایران, 2017
Equivalence scale is an important concept in household welfare debates wich plays an important role in the measurement of poverty and inequality. Equivalence scale is an index that converts household's expenditures into comparable values.

Equivalent σ-finite invariant measures

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2006
The paper describes a ratio condition that is necessary and sufficient for a \(\sigma\)-finite measure space \((X, \beta, m)\), with a non-singular, bi-measurable, ergodic transformation \(T\) onto itself, to have a \(T\)-invariant \(\sigma\)-finite measure equivalent to \(m\).

Dietary Protein Intake and Peritoneal Protein Losses in Peritoneal Dialysis Patients

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients lose protein in their waste dialysate, potentially increasing their risk for malnutrition. We wished to determine whether there was any association between losses and dietary protein intake (DPI). Methods DPI was assessed from 24‐h dietary recall using Nutrics software.

Effects of the Fluid Replacement Method During Online Hemodiafiltration on the Solute Removal Performance and Biocompatibility Using the Asymmetric Cellulose Triacetate Membrane

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

Equivalence–Singularity Dichotomy in Markov Measures

open access: yesJournal of Theoretical Probability, 2022
We establish an equivalence-singularity dichotomy for a large class of one-dimensional Markov measures. Our approach is new in that we deal with one-sided and two-sided chains simultaneously, and in that we do not appeal to any 0-1 law. In fact we deduce a new 0-1 law from the dichotomy.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...
