Measurement invariance within and between subjects: A distinct problem in testing the equivalence of intra- and inter-individual model structures.

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2014
We address the question of equivalence between modeling results obtained on intra-individual and inter-individual levels of psychometric analysis. Our focus is on the concept of measurement invariance and the role it may play in this context.

Crack‐Growing Interlayer Design for Deep Crack Propagation and Ultrahigh Sensitivity Strain Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A crack‐growing semi‐cured polyimide interlayer enabling deep cracks for ultrahigh sensitivity in low‐strain regimes is presented. The sensor achieves a gauge factor of 100 000 at 2% strain and detects subtle deformations such as nasal breathing, highlighting potential for minimally obstructive biomedical and micromechanical sensing applications ...

Validity and invariance of Turker’s corporate social responsibility scale in five cross-cultural samples [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
As organizational research turned its focus to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), interest also grew in the individual’s perspective on CSR. When looking for cross-cultural comparisons of the effects of CSR, measurement invariance is of utter ...

Factor Structure of the 10-Item Perceived Stress Scale and Measurement Invariance Across Genders Among Chinese Adolescents

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2020
Background Chinese adolescents encounter a lot of stressors, such as academic burden and parental pressure. However, little is known about their perception of stress.

Tunable and Recyclable Piezoelectric Biomaterials via Ion‐Directed Guanine‐Quadruplex Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Guanine‐quadruplex (GQ) assemblies, formed via ion‐mediated self‐assembly of amphiphilic guanine derivatives, are introduced as tunable and recyclable piezoelectric biomaterials. Distinct alkali ions induce unique dipole configurations and piezoelectric outputs, with K⁺ yielding the highest performance.

Measurement Invariance and Response Bias: A Stochastic Frontier Approach [PDF]

open access: yes
The goals of the present paper were to assess measurement invariance using a common econometric method and to illustrate the approach with self-reported measures of parenting behaviors before and after a family intervention.

Galilean invariance at quantum Hall edge

open access: yes, 2015
We construct the theory of a chiral Luttinger liquid that lives on the boundary of a Galilean invariant quantum Hall fluid. In contrast to previous studies, Galilean invariance of the total (bulk plus edge) theory is guaranteed.

Citizenship Behavior Questionnaire-30–General Version: Evidence of measurement invariance among university students from Poland and Taiwan

open access: yesActa Psychologica
Background: The Citizenship Behavior Questionnaire-30–General Version (CBQ-30-GV) evaluates multidimensional citizenship behaviors (CBs), yet its measurement invariance across country and gender groups remains unexamined.

The Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 in Chinese Hospital Workers: Reliability, Latent Structure, and Measurement Invariance Across Genders

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2020
The Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21) is an instrument in the assessment of mental health status. The current study recruited 1,532 Chinese hospital workers [74.4% female; mean age = 31.97 (SD = 9.70) years] to examine the reliability, latent ...

Microsphere Autolithography—A Scalable Approach for Arbitrary Patterning of Dielectric Spheres

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MicroSphere Autolithography (µSAL) enables scalable fabrication of patchy particles with customizable surface motifs. Focusing light through dielectric microspheres creates well defined, tunable patches via a conformal poly(dopamine) photoresist. Nearly arbitrary surface patterns can be achieved, with the resolution set by the index contrast between ...
