Fluctuation of Information Entropy Measures in Cell Image [PDF]
A simple, label-free cytometry technique is introduced. It is based on the analysis of the fluctuation of image Gray Level Information Entropy (GLIE) which is shown to reflect intracellular biophysical properties like generalized entropy.

Information entropy and measures of market risk [PDF]
In this paper we investigate the relationship between the information entropy of the distribution of intraday returns and intraday and daily measures of market risk.

On computation of information entropy measures for certain fractal molecular architectures [PDF]
Fractal molecular structures constitute a distinct category of systems characterized by self-similarity and hierarchical growth patterns, which can be effectively examined by graph-theoretical methods.

An Alternative to Entropy in the Measurement of Information [PDF]
: Entropy has been the main tool in the analysis of the concept of information since information theory was conceived in the work of Shannon more than fifty years ago.

Towards information inequalities for generalized graph entropies. [PDF]
In this article, we discuss the problem of establishing relations between information measures for network structures. Two types of entropy based measures namely, the Shannon entropy and its generalization, the Rényi entropy have been considered for this

Permutation Complexity and Coupling Measures in Hidden Markov Models [PDF]
Recently, the duality between values (words) and orderings (permutations) has been proposed by the authors as a basis to discuss the relationship between information theoretic measures for finite-alphabet stationary stochastic processes and their ...

Entropy measures for complex networks: Toward an information theory of complex topologies [PDF]
The quantification of the complexity of networks is, today, a fundamental problem in the physics of complex systems. A possible roadmap to solve the problem is via extending key concepts of information theory to networks.

Information Entropy Measures for Evaluation of Reliability of Deep Neural Network Results
Deep neural networks (DNN) try to analyze given data, to come up with decisions regarding the inputs. The decision-making process of the DNN model is not entirely transparent.

A Fractional (q,q′) Non-Extensive Information Dimension for Complex Networks
This article introduces a new fractional approach to the concept of information dimensions in complex networks based on the (q,q′)-entropy proposed in the literature. The q parameter measures how far the number of sub-systems (for a given size ε) is from

Entropy Measures for Interval Neutrosophic Vague Sets and Their Application in Decision Making [PDF]
Entropy measure is an important tool in measuring uncertain information and plays a vital role in solving Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM). At present, various entropy measures in literature are developed to measure the degree of fuzziness. However,
