STRUCTURAL CHANGE OR LOGICAL INCREMENTALISM? TURBULENCE IN THE GLOBAL MEAT SYSTEM [PDF]
In the last ten years the global meat industry has encountered numerous critical events related to food safety and food quality. These events in turn have caused the industry to re-evaluate how the meat supply chain functions and how to service the new ...

Reliable AI Platform for Monitoring BCI Caused Brain Injury and Providing Real‐Time Protection
BrainGuard enables real‐time and interpretable assessment of brain injury caused by brain computer interface (BCI). Using feature‐based Gaussian process (GP) emulators trained on limited biomechanical data, it efficiently predicts full‐field strain and constructs patient‐specific digital brain twins to support clinical diagnosis and long‐term BCI ...

Consumers' Willingness to Pay a Price for Organic Beef Meat [PDF]
The goal of this paper is to estimate the maximum price consumers are willing to pay (MPWTP) for organic beef meat. To this purpose, a theoretical and econometric approach is presented, based on the RUM model and on a Contingent Valuation technique.

Hyperelastic Starch Hydrogel Configures Edible and Biodegradable All‐Components for Soft Robots
Hyperelastic starch hydrogel is tailored via a phase separation strategy of solvent‐antisolvent co‐modulation. The mechanical performance of starch hydrogel is widely tuned with maximum strains: 194.4–361.4%; maximum tensile stresses: 34–192 kPa; and Young's moduli: 36.0–205.8 kPa. Notably, the hydrogel achieves complete soil degradation within 24 days

PD‐1 Inhibits CD4+ TRM‐Mediated cDC1 Mobilization via Suppressing JAML in Human NSCLC
CD4+ tissue‐resident memory T cells (TRMs) in non‐small cell lung cancer recruit conventional type 1 dendritic cells via XCL1‐XCR1 signaling, orchestrating antitumor immunity. The costimulatory molecule JAML is essential for this process. PD‐1 blockade restores JAML expression and cDC1 mobilization, while JAML agonists synergize with anti‐PD‐1 therapy,
