Effects of non-chlorine antimicrobial agents on microbial diversity in yellow-feathered chickens during mixed precooling

open access: yesFood Science of Animal Resources
Given that chickens can easily become a culture medium for microbial growth and reproduction, the prevention and control of biological safety risks in chickens is important.

Monolithic 3D‐Integrated All‐Solid Ion‐Gated Carbon Nanotube Transistors With Tunable Ionic Conductance for Multi‐Timescale Reservoir Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐timescale reservoir based on monolithically 3D (M3D)‐integrated CNT solid ion‐gated transistors is demonstrated. Tunable ionic dynamics and pulse‐engineered operation enable linear and symmetric synaptic updates. The M3D‐integrated array achieves robust temporal encoding and accurate classification of moving MNIST sequences, highlighting its ...

Combination of 3D and 2D Small and Wide Angle X‐Ray Scattering Imaging Reveals Diminished Bone Quality in the Superior Human Femoral Neck Cortex

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Combined 2D and 3D X‐ray scattering imaging is used to analyse nanostructural properties in the inferior and superior cortex of 78 human femoral necks from 44 donors. The methodology allows for increased interpretation of nanostructure in a statistically relevant dataset, revealing nanostructural differences in anatomical locations critical to clinical

Hyperspectral guidance for summer tea processing: Enhancing taste and aroma through short‐term cycled heaping

open access: yesFood Frontiers
To reduce the unpleasant flavor in tea infusion made from summer fresh leaves and lessen tea resource wastage, a short‐term cycled heaping method, addressing the temperature/moisture variations during prolonged heaping, was introduced to produce high ...

Photoactive Tweezers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A photoactive tweezers system based on photoactive colloids is developed and systematically investigated in this study. Through experimental and theoretical methods, we demonstrate that the photoredox reaction catalyzed by a dye‐sensitized TiO2 particle generates a strong positive phototaxis, enabling self‐entrapment in the beam center.

Effects of animal breeding on meat quality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The term “meat quality” includes a sum of characteristics which are classified as: hygienic (absence of toxic, microbiological and parasitological agents), dietetic (chemical composition, fatty acid profile, cholesterol content, etc.), organoleptic ...
