Hybrid energy harvesting from mechanical vibrations and magnetic field

Applied Physics Letters, 2018
This letter proposes a hybrid energy harvesting scheme to collect the energy from mechanical vibrations and the magnetic field simultaneously. The structure consists of a magnetostrictive substrate bonded with a piezoelectric sheet.

The impact of mechanical vibrations on pressure pulsation, considering the nonlinearity of the hydraulic valve

Journal of Low Frequency Noise Vibration and Active Control
The article identifies some of the forces acting on hydraulic valves used in the civil and military vehicles. Particular attention was paid to the single-stage electrically controlled “on/off” hydraulic directional control valve.

Mechanical Vibrations and Vibration Control

1994
In these lectures, an introduction is given into the basic concepts of the theory of active and passive vibration damping. First one degree of freedom systems are discussed with respect to the different solution techniques and with view to damping and isolation mechanisms.

Mechanical Vibration in Ambulance Transport

Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic & Neonatal Nursing, 1994
To study the effects of mechanical vibration on neonates during ambulance transport.Study used an infant mannequin in an isolette and measured the vibration levels experienced during controlled ambulance transports.Transport nurses and paramedics used a hospital-based mobile intensive care unit (MICU).Measured vibration levels at specific locations ...
