Upacicalcet: A Novel Intravenous Calcimimetic Agent for Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis With Secondary Hyperparathyroidism

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) is a common complication in patients receiving maintenance dialysis, driven by calcium and phosphate metabolism disturbances. Calcimimetics are central to the management of SHPT by enhancing calcium‐sensing receptor sensitivity and reducing parathyroid hormone secretion.

Dynamics Modeling and Analysis of an Underwater Glider with Dual-Eccentric Attitude Regulating Mechanism Using Dual Quaternions

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2022
The underwater glider has difficulty accessing the complex and narrow hadal trench for observation, which is affected by its limited regulation capability of pitch angle (−45°~45°).

Distributed Mechanism Design for Network Resource Allocation Problems [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering, 2019
In the standard mechanism design framework, agents’ messages are gathered at a central point and allocation/tax functions are calculated in a centralized manner, i.e., as functions of all network agents’ messages. This requirement may cause communication

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

The equilibrium of cloud manufacturing system under cost uncertainty

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2017
In this paper, we explore the equilibrium problem of cloud manufacturing system (CMfgS) with cost uncertainty. We propose a CMfgS supernetwork model in which decision-makers (resource service providers (RSPs), the agent and resource service demanders ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
