Preparation of polyboronphenylsiloxanes by mechanochemical activation
Russian Journal of General Chemistry, 2014Linear polyboronphenylsiloxanes containing fluorine atom at silicon and acetylacetonate group at boron have been synthesized by mechanochemical activation. Mechanochemical activation of polyphenylsilsesquioxane and boron difluoride acetylacetonate taken in molar ratio 1 : 1 was shown to lead to the formation of polyboronphenylsiloxane with the given Si/

Mechanochemically activated synthesis of nanostructured NiFe2O4
Inorganic Materials, 2011Powdery NiFe2O4 has been obtained by mechanothermal treatment. Nickel and iron hydroxides are used as initial compounds. For comparison the initial compounds are calcinated without mechanical treatment (samples obtained by direct heating). The characterization of the samples is carried out by XRD analysis and Mossbauer spectroscopy.

Thermal treatment of mechanochemically activated kaolinite
Thermochimica Acta, 2003The mechanochemical activation of a high defect kaolinite has been studied using a combination of high-resolution thermogravimetry and DRIFT spectroscopy. The effect of grinding causes a decrease in the dehydroxylation temperature and an increase in the amount of adsorbed/coordinated water.

Mechanochemically activated nano-aluminium: Oxidation behaviour
Journal of Materials Science, 2004Nanocrystalline aluminium powder has been prepared by high-energy ball milling of flaked micron-sized aluminium powder in the presence of 10 wt% of graphite under argon atmosphere. The structure and chemical composition of as-prepared nanocomposites and the their thermally induced changes are studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron ...

Mechanochemical activation of methane oxidation catalysis
Catalysis Today, 1992Abstract Mechanochemical activation of methane oxidation catalysts is used for two aims: 1) for identification of free-radical centres at the oxide surfaces and 2) for preparation of new active catalysts of partial methane oxidation. Kinetics of interaction of free-radical defects at the surface of mechanically activated SiO2 with methane was studied.

Russian Chemical Bulletin, 2018
The review addresses the special case of mechanical activation of solid-state chemical reactions when the stress field, strain, and defects in crystals are induced by the chemical reaction itself rather than by the external mechanical impact (chemo-mechanochemical (CMC) effect).

Thermal analysis of mechanochemically activated glass
Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2006Thermal analysis (TG, DTG, DTA, DSC) has been used to study the influence of mechanochemical activation of glass making batch on its melting and obtained glass crystallization. It revealed, that long time (12 h) mechanical treatment accelerates the glass batch melting and also improving network homogeneity influence the internal structure of the ...

Mechanochemical Instabilities in Active Gels
2009Stimuli-responsive polymers and their application to smart materials have been widely studied. On the other hand, as a novel bio-mimetic polymer, we have been studying a polymer with an autonomous self-oscillating function by utilizing oscillating chemical reactions.

Mechanochemical Activation of Small Ring Cyclopolymers
2014Abstract : With the support of this award, we were able to explore mechanochemical activation of small ring cyclopolymers, which ultimately led to the discovery of flex activated mechanophores. These mechanophores take advantage of bond bending motions induced by polymer chain elongation, rather than more tradition bond stretching modes of activation ...
