The Mechanochemical Synthesis and Activation of Carbon‐Rich π‐Conjugated Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2022
Mechanochemistry uses mechanical force to break, form, and manipulate chemical bonds to achieve functional transformations and syntheses. Over the last years, many innovative applications of mechanochemistry have been developed.

Soft-Mechanochemistry: Mechanochemistry Inspired by Nature [PDF]

open access: yesLangmuir, 2016
Cells and bacteria use mechanotransduction processes to transform a mechanical force into a chemical/biochemical response. The area of chemistry where chemical reactions are induced by mechanical forces is called mechanochemistry. Over the last few years, chemists developed force-induced reactions affecting covalent bonds in molecules under tension ...

Microtubular solid oxide fuel cells with a two-layer LSCF/BSCFM5 cathode

open access: yesGreen Carbon, 2023
In this study, we present the development of microtubular solid oxide fuel cells (MT-SOFC) with a two-layer cathode: a composite cathode functional layer (CFL) adjacent to the buffer layer (BL) and a cathode current-collecting layer (CCCL).

Mechanochemical Synthesis of X-Vinylbenziodoxol(on)es and One-Pot Conversion to Complex Alkenes*. [PDF]

open access: yesAngew Chem Int Ed Engl
The synthesis of a wide range of complex 1,2‐di(heteroatom)‐substituted (Z)‐alkenes is achieved through a mechanochemical one‐pot reaction of ethynylbenziodoxol(on)es (EBX/EBO) with a variety of heteroatom nucleophiles. The mechanochemical activation enables synthesis of a range of novel vinylbenziodoxol(on)es (VBX/VBO) whose synthesis is inefficient ...

Soft mechanochemical synthesis and thermal stability of hydroxyapatites with different types of substitution

open access: yesChimica Techno Acta, 2022
The feasibility of soft mechanochemical synthesis was studied here for hydroxyapatite with various types of substitution. It was shown that this method allows obtaining hydroxyapatites substituted with copper or iron cations and hydroxyapatites ...

Investigation of the mechanical properties of composite polymer electrolytes based on CsH2PO4 [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2021
The mechanical properties of the CsH2PO4 and hybrid compounds with different polymers (SKF-26, UPTFE, Butvar B-98) was determined by the Vickers microhardness test for the first time.

Mechanochemistry Enables Rapid and Solvent-Free Wittig Reactions on Sugars. [PDF]

open access: yesChemSusChem
A solvent‐free mechanochemical protocol for the Wittig olefination of reducing sugars is reported. The method enables rapid access to structurally diverse olefins from acetonide‐ and benzyl‐protected carbohydrates, as well as unprotected sugars, under mild conditions, with improved selectivity, broad substrate scope, and enhanced sustainability.
