Hobbing mechanism of worm gear tooth surface with wave edges of double enveloping toroidal worm gearing

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing
The double enveloping toroidal worm gear pair is a type of basic worm transmission with multi-tooth and double-line contacts. Tooth surfaces of the worm gear are hobbed by a toroidal worm gear hob which is produced based on the toroidal worm.

Degradable Magnetic Composites from Recycled NdFeB Magnets for Soft Actuation and Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a degradable soft magnetic composite made from recycled NdFeB particles embedded in a gelatin‐based organogel. The material is processed into magnetic sensors and soft robotic components, which can later be dissolved in a green solvent to recover NdFeB magnetic particles.

Dynamical Design and Gain Performance Analysis of a 3-DoF Micro-Gyro with an Anchored Leverage Mechanism

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
In this paper, we apply the leverage amplification principle to improve the gain of a three-degrees-of-freedom (3-DoF) micro-gyro. The gain of the micro-gyro can be improved by designing linear and nonlinear micro-gyros with an anchored lever mechanism ...
