Application Research of Several Improved Active Disturbance Rejection Control Methods for Superheated Steam Temperature System

open access: yesIET Smart Energy Systems, Volume 2, Issue 1, Page 49-61, March 2026.
A series of improved active disturbance rejection controller (ADRC) methods are proposed, and their parameter tuning processes are presented. They are comprehensively compared with regular proportional integral (PI) control and ADRC, and detailed superheated steam temperature (SST) simulations are carried out to verify their notably superior control ...

Acceleration of Atmospheric Freeze‐Drying of Food: Methods, Implications, Commercialization, and Future Directions

open access: yesComprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, Volume 25, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Atmospheric freeze‐drying (AFD) is an emerging and cost‐effective alternative for drying food and pharmaceutical ingredients, offering lower investment and operational costs compared with vacuum freeze‐drying (VFD). However, industrial adoption is limited due to the significantly longer time required, resulting from consistently lower drying ...

Measures of Human Position Sense Do Not Always Include Contributions From Peripheral Sensory Receptors

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 63, Issue 5, March 2026.
This is a review of measurements of human position sense using three different methods. When measured by two‐arm matching or one‐arm pointing, evidence for participation of muscle spindles was present. For repositioning, a method based on memory, no evidence for spindle involvement emerged and the process appeared to operate entirely centrally.
