Directional information flow in human frataxin defines allosteric pathways connecting the hydrophobic core to the iron‐binding ridge

Human frataxin deficiency causes Friedreich's ataxia, yet how iron‐binding events are communicated across the protein is unclear. Using transfer entropy analysis of molecular dynamics simulations, we identify buried hydrophobic core leucines (LEU136, LEU140) as the source of directional signaling toward the iron‐binding acidic ridge.

Measuring success in HS treatment from the physician's and the patient's perspective

Integrated clinician (HiSCR, IHS4, IHS4‐55, HS‐IGA) and patient (HiSQOL, DLQI) scores, combined with imaging‐based fibrosis and inflammation assessment, redefine treatment success in hidradenitis suppurativa by aligning treat‐to‐target strategies with both inflammatory control and irreversible structural damage.

Anatomy of spinal CSF loss in the American alligator (Alligator mississippiensis)

India ink introduced into the cranial cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) compartment of Alligator diffuses along the spinal cord and exits the spinal compartment using perineural flow, resulting in a prominent “ink cuff” forming at the base of the spinal nerve. In Alligator, the region of the ink cuff is drained by a small lymphatic vessel.

Developmental stage ordering yields greater cranial mineralization sequence resolution than embryo size or days since oviposition: A case study using the gekkotan Eublepharis macularius (Blyth, 1854)

We employ a set of leopard gecko embryos for which size, day of development, and developmental stage are known to assess which timetable accords with the greatest resolution of cranial mineralization events.
