A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Supporting access to healthcare for refugees and migrants in European countries under particular migratory pressure

open access: yesBMC Health Services Research, 2019
Background In 2015 the increased migratory pressure in Europe posed additional challenges for healthcare providers. The aim of this study was to inform the development of a “Resource Package” to support European Union (EU) member states in improving ...

Implications on SUSY breaking mediation mechanisms from observing $B_s \to \mu^+ \mu^-$ and the muon $(g-2)$

open access: yes, 2002
We consider $B_s \to \mu^+ \mu^-$ and the muon $(g-2)_\mu$ in various SUSY breaking mediation mechanisms. If the decay $B_s \to \mu^+ \mu^-$ is observed at Tevatron Run II with a branching ratio larger than $\sim 2 \times 10^{-8} $, the noscale ...

The IQ‐compete assay for measuring mitochondrial protein import efficiencies in living yeast cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The efficiency of mitochondrial protein import depends on the properties of the newly synthesized precursor proteins. The Import and de‐Quenching Competition (IQ‐compete) assay is a novel method to monitor the import efficiency of different proteins by fluorescence in living yeast cells.

Pratiques et perspectives de gouvernance de l'information au sein des institutions universitaires : cas de l’Institut National de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée

open access: yesJournal of Information Sciences
Dans un contexte complexe, la gouvernance de l'information (GI) est cruciale. Cette recherche examine ses pratiques, en mettant l'accent sur l'Institut National de Statistique et d’Economie Appliquée (INSEA), la gestion des archives, la protection des ...

Gaugomaly Mediation Revisited

open access: yes, 2012
Most generic models of hidden sector supersymmetry breaking do not feature singlets, and gauginos obtain masses from anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking. If one desires a natural model, then the dominant contribution to scalar masses should be of the

The New Flavor of Higgsed Gauge Mediation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Recent LHC bounds on squark masses combined with naturalness and flavor considerations motivate non-trivial sfermion mass spectra in the supersymmetric Standard Model.

Targeting EZH2 reverses thyroid cell dedifferentiation and enhances iodide uptake in anaplastic thyroid cancer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) lacks iodide uptake ability due to MAPK activation increasing the expression of the histone methyltransferase EZH2, which represses thyroid differentiation genes (TDGs) such as the sodium iodide symporter (NIS). Dual inhibition of MAPK (U0126) and EZH2 (EPZ6438/Tazemetostat) reverses this mechanism, thus restoring TDG ...
