The clinical value of pharmacogenomics in the pharmacotherapy of common psychiatric disorders: a macroscopic analysis based on real-world data

open access: yesBMC Psychiatry
Background Pharmacogenomic (PGx) testing holds promise for personalized psychiatry, but its clinical utility in real-world inpatient settings remains inadequately established.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Interaction between BDNF Val66Met polymorphism and mismatch negativity for working memory capacity in schizophrenia

open access: yesSchizophrenia
Both the brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) valine (Val)/methionine (Met) polymorphism and mismatch negativity (MMN) amplitude are reportedly linked to working memory impairments in schizophrenia.

Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

LC–MS/MS quantification of 20(S)-protopanaxadiol in complex biological matrices for bioanalytical method validation and pharmacokinetic analysis

open access: yesScientific Reports
20(S)-Protopanaxadiol (PPD) is a saponin derivative of ginsenoside, with more potent biological and pharmacological activities than Rg3 and Rh2. The lack of ionizable centers leads to low mass spectrometry reactions and internal cleavage of three ...

PANoptosis in the pathogenesis of myelodysplastic syndromes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PANoptosis, a combination of three types of programmed cell death, is mediated by a large protein complex called a PANoptosome. In healthy bone marrow hematopoietic cells, PANoptosis is restricted by inhibitory signaling. In MDS, bone marrow cells become sensitive to the PANoptotic stimuli due to the aberrant inactivation of inhibitory signaling or ...

Attentional bias abnormalities and their association with cognitive load in obsessive-compulsive disorder

open access: yesBMC Psychiatry
Background Attentional bias is a significant factor in the onset and persistence of obsessive-compulsive symptoms in individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). However, the determinants of attentional bias in OCD remain inadequately understood.
