ZBP1‐mediated Treg cell dysfunction exacerbates neuroimmune dysregulation in Alzheimer's disease under metabolic stress

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 10, October 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Metabolic stress increases Alzheimer's disease (AD) risk, but mechanisms linking metabolic dysfunction to neuroimmune dysregulation remain unclear. METHODS We assessed cognition in community‐dwelling participants and used high‐fat diet (HFD)‐fed 5xFAD mice, high glucose and high palmitate (HGHP)‐treated regulatory T cell (Treg) co‐

tris‐Schiff Base Derivatives Containing Flurbiprofen as Potential Tyrosinase Inhibitors: Synthesis, In Vitro Evaluation, Molecular Docking, DFT and Dynamics Simulations

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 10, October 2026.
New tris‐Schiff base derivatives of marketed accessible flurbiprofen were synthesised in better yields through multi‐step reactions. Structures of these compounds were deduced through 13C‐NMR and 1H‐NMR spectroscopic methods and finally screened for their in vitro tyrosinase inhibitory potential.

Exploring the Cosmeceutical Potential of Six Malaysian Indigenous Tropical Fruit Trees: Radical Scavenging, Anti‐Tyrosinase, and Photoprotective Activities Evaluation

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 10, October 2026.
B. macrophylla leaf ethyl acetate fractionated extract exhibits the highest TPC, very strong radical‐scavenging activities, and the highest SPF value of 28.64 ± 0.51. LC‐MS analysis identifies m‐trigallic acid, cis‐coutaric acid, and ellagic acid, which may contribute to its bioactivities. The present work highlights B.

Mannosylxylarinols A and B, Two New 3,4‐Seco‐ergostane‐type Steroidal Saponins From the Fungus Xylaria necrophora SZSS1‐2‐2

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 10, October 2026.
Two new 3,4‐seco‐ergostane saponins (1–2) and four known compounds were isolated from Xylaria necrophora. Structures were elucidated via spectroscopy, ECD, and computational NMR. Compound 5 selectively inhibited BV2 microglial cells (IC50 = 17.10 µM), while all compounds showed no antimicrobial activity against tested microorganisms. ABSTRACT Two new 3,
