[The triglycerides with medium chains].

Medium chain triglycerides (MCT) (fatty acids with 6-12 C) are absorbed more quickly than long chain triglycerides. Medium chain fatty acids are not incorporated into hepatic triglycerides, but oxidized. If MCT are given alone, they stimulate ketogenesis.
