Polymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.An eco‐friendly melamine‐formaldehyde was produced by the addition of sodium chloride as a modifier. Modified MF resin improved surface gloss and abrasion resistance of decorative paper and decreased the formaldehyde emission.
