Creating urban spaces and medium-sized cities

open access: yesAcademic journal Industrial Machine Building Civil Engineering, 2020
The research relevance is determined by the need to draw up a specific reference, regulatory and procedural documents that take into account regional features in designing public spaces. The analysis of urban spaces is carried out based on the example of the city of Severodonetsk to identify the spatial planning pattern of these elements and issues of ...

Cyclists' noise exposure in a Brazilian medium-sized city.

open access: yesCiencia & saude coletiva, 2020
This study aimed to assess cyclists' exposure to noise in a medium-sized Brazilian city. Mobile sensors were used to conduct noise measurements in streets with and without dedicated cycling infrastructures. The method can be summarized in the following procedures: i) characterization of the study area; ii) data collection and validation; iii ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
