Preparation and Properties of Medium-Density Fiberboards Bonded with Vanillin Crosslinked Chitosan. [PDF]
An eco-friendly medium-density fiberboard (MDF) was prepared using vanillin (V) crosslinked chitosan (CS) adhesive through a hot-pressing process. The cross-linking mechanism and the effect of different proportions of added chitosan/vanillin on the mechanical properties and dimensional stability of MDF were investigated.

Effect of nanoclay on the properties of medium density fiberboard (MDF) [PDF]
The effect of using nanoclay on MDF properties was investigated. Sodium montmorolonit (NA+MMT) was used in three levels of 0, 3 and 6 percent based on dry weight of two resins of urea formaldehyde (UF) and Methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI).

THE COMBUSTION PERFORMANCE OF MEDIUM DENSITY FIBERBOARD TREATED WITH FIRE RETARDANT MICROSPHERES
Fire retardant particles (guanylurea phosphate and boric acid) with a morphological characteristic of large crystal or fine microsphere, were respectively applied to wood fibers to make medium density fiberboard (MDF). The effects of particle size of the
