Heat treatment strategies for hot-rolled medium-Mn sheet steels
Abstract Heat treatment strategies for advanced high-strength medium-Mn sheet steels are addressed. A review of the available thermal cycles for cold-rolled and hot-rolled sheets are presented. The benefits from the intercritical annealing following hot-rolling are emphasized.

Possible role of Geobacter sulfurreducens in anaerobic corrosion of steels [PDF]
Geobacteraceae are the most widespread microorganisms in soils and sediments in which microbial reduction of Fe(III) is an important process, either in the natural degradation of organic compounds or in their bioremediation.

Characterisation of microstructure, defect and high-cycle-fatigue behaviour in a stainless steel joint processed by brazing [PDF]
We report the characterisation of microstructures and high-cycle-fatigue (HCF) properties of Type 304 stainless steel joints processed by brazing. Pure copper was applied as the filler metal for brazing at 1120 °C. A two-phase microstructure was obtained

This study introduces a novel multi‐scale scaffold design using L‐fractals arranged in Archimedean tessellations for tissue regeneration. Despite similar porosity, tiles display vastly different tensile responses (1–100 MPa) and deformation modes. In vitro experiments with hMSCs show geometry‐dependent growth and activity. Over 55 000 tile combinations

Glyphosate (GLY) and its primary metabolite, aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA), are photodegraded using a poly(vinylidene fluoride) membrane with immobilized titanium dioxide (PVDF‐TiO2) in a continuous flow‐through operation under solar light. At optimized conditions, the PVDF‐TiO2 membrane achieved 95% GLY and 80% AMPA removal with •O2− as the ...

Investigation of the liquidus temperature calculation method for medium manganese steel
The liquidus temperature and temperature drop coefficients of medium manganese steel were systematically studied using Factsage and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) experiments. The results indicated that the temperature drop coefficients of C, Mn,
