LSD in Mice: Abnormalities in Meiotic Chromosomes
Science, 1968Meiotic chromosomes of six mice injected with high doses of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD-25) and of six controls were studied. Several breaks, gaps, and unidentifiable fragments were found in the treated but, with a few exceptions, not in the control animals.

Meiotic abnormalities in backcross lines of hybrid Haemonchus
International Journal for Parasitology, 1980Abstract Le Jambre L. F. and Royal W. M. 1979. Meiotic abnormalities in backcross lines of hybrid Haemonchus. International Journal for Parasitology10: 281–286. Hybrid worms from the reciprocal matings between Haemonchus contortus and H. placei were backcrossed to the parent species.

Meiotic abnormalities in Saccharum spontaneum
Euphytica, 1975Meiosis was studied in several clones of Saccharum spontaneum with chromosome numbers ranging from 2n=40 to 2n=126. Abnormalities recorded include occurrence of univalents, pseudo bivalents, multivalents, heteromorphic or unequal bivalents, chromosome mosaicism, secondary association of bivalents, and complement fractionation.

TPX2 deficiency leads to spindle abnormity and meiotic impairment in porcine oocytes
Theriogenology, 2022The targeting protein for Xklp2 (TPX2) is a spindle assembly factor, that can stimulate microtubule formation and promote spindle completion during mitosis. However, the role of TPX2 in mammalian oocyte meiotic maturation is still not fully understood.

Meiotic Abnormalities: Abnormal Numbers of Chromosomes
2001A neuploidy is the loss or gain of individual chromosomes. It can be the result of nondisjunction in a premeiotic mitotic division in the germline of either parent, a first or second meiotic division in either parent, or an early embryonic mitotic (postzygotic) division in the affected individual.

The maize abnormal chromosome 10 meiotic drive haplotype: a review
Chromosome Research, 2022The maize abnormal chromosome 10 (Ab10) haplotype encodes a meiotic drive system that converts heterochromatic knobs into centromere-like bodies that are preferentially segregated through female meiosis. Ab10 was first described in the 1940s and has been intensively studied.

Study on Haploid Inducing and Its Meiotic Abnormality in Maize
Agricultural Sciences in China, 2009Abstract The haploid-inducing line Stock 6 was used to produce haploid maize and expected to obtain maize haploid plants successfully. The detailed meiotic studies on selected haploid maize (n = x = 10) were conducted. Cytogenetic analysis revealed a high frequency of meiotic abnormality occurred in both meiosis I and meiosis II.

Origin of chromosomal abnormalities: Evidence for delayed fertilization in meiotic nondisjunction
Human Genetics, 1983This study ascertained 35 aneuploid patients, of which 34 had trisomy 21 and one had trisomy 18. Their parents were matched by age at the conception with parents of 35 euploid patients with congenital defects. Interviews with the couples focused on exposures and activities at the time of the conception. No parents had infectious hepatitis preceding the
