New Light Flame-Retardant Materials of Reinforced Melamine-Urea-Formaldehyde (MUF) Foam with Wood Pulp Fiber: Preparation and Properties Evaluation

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
New composite foams were prepared by using Melamine-Urea-Formaldehyde (MUF) resin and wood pulp fiber as raw materials with co-foaming method at 70°C in the opening mould. The study of the composites foam microstructure showed good adhesion between MUF matrix foam and wood pulp fiber.

Poly(amidoamine)s dendrimers of different generations as components of melamine urea formaldehyde (MUF) adhesives used for particleboards production: what are the positive implications?

Journal of Polymer Research, 2013
Poly(amidoamine)s dendrimers (PAMAM)s of different generations (Gn, where n = 1–3) were prepared via Michael addition/amidation reactions following a well-established procedure and their molecular weights were determined using matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time of flight (MALDI-TOF).

First/second generation of dendritic ester-co-aldehyde-terminated poly(amidoamine) as modifying components of melamine urea formaldehyde (MUF) adhesives: subsequent use in particleboards production

Journal of Polymer Research, 2014
Particleboards production, which depends mainly on thermoset resins, e.g., such as melamine urea formaldehyde (MUF) and urea formaldehyde (UF), can result in subsequent liberation of the carcinogenic formaldehyde of the panel in service. This situation needs the substitution of formaldehyde with less active aldehydes.

Variation of Reaction Stages And Mole Composition Effect on Melamine-Urea-Formaldehyde (MUF) Resin Properties

2006
MUF resin is widely used as an adhesive in wood industries, coating technology, paper industries and a main material in kitchenware production. In various applications, different resin properties are needed to suit its application. Important resin properties are for example higher resin solubility, low curing period with lower temperature and catalyst

EFFECT OF WOOD SPECIES USED FOR CORE LAYER ON SOME PROPERTIES OF OKUME PLYWOOD PANELS BONDED WITH MELAMINE-UREA FORMALDEHYDE (MUF) ADHESIVE

2011
In this study; changes in some properties of the okume plywood panels when used alder and beech veneers in their core layers were investigated. Two types of melamine-urea formaldehyde (MUF) resins having different free formaldehyde contents were used for bonding plywood panels manufactured from 2 mm thick veneers at industrial conditions.
