Through a review of Mario Bonfantini’s critical essays and some personal memories, the author retraces Bonfantini’s career as a literary critic in the field of French literature, highlighting his “pleasure” of practicing and teaching a methodical reading

Nonperturbative renormalization group beyond melonic sector: The Effective Vertex Expansion method for group fields theories [PDF]
Tensor models admit the large $N$ limit, dominated by the graphs called melons. The melons are characterized by the Gurau number $\varpi=0$ and the amplitude of the Feynman graphs are proportional to $N^{-\varpi}$. Other leading order contributions i.e. $\varpi> 0$ called pseudo-melons can be taken into account in the renormalization program.

A reliable system for the transformation of cantaloupe charentais melon (Cucumis melo L. var. cantalupensis) leading to a majority of diploid regenerants [PDF]
An efficient system of transformation leading to a majority of transformed diploid plants from leaf explants of Cucumis melo L. var. Cantalupensis (cv. Védrantais) was developed.

Biological and chemical characteristics of a genetic resistance of melon to the melon aphid [PDF]
Host plant resistance to pests is an important component of integrated control strategies. Due to the specialised phloem-feeding of aphids and many other hemipteran insect pests, which necessitates specific chemical treatments and control of virus transmission, this genetic strategy seems particularly attractive for this insect group.

Melonic phase transition in group field theory [PDF]
Group field theories have recently been shown to admit a 1/N expansion dominated by so-called `melonic graphs', dual to triangulated spheres. In this note, we deepen the analysis of this melonic sector. We obtain a combinatorial formula for the melonic amplitudes in terms of a graph polynomial related to a higher dimensional generalization of the ...

Collective investment in a common pool resource: Grower associations and food safety guidelines
Abstract Common pool resources often face overexploitation, but collective action can counteract that tendency. We investigate collective investment in reputation for produce food safety, a common pool resource because of limited branding and traceability, by U.S. commodity organizations.

Modeling of asymmetric division of somatic cell in protoplasts culture of higher plants
The key result of the work is the selection of factors for the cultivation of protoplasts of higher plants in vitro, which allowed induction of asymmetrical cell division during the first cell cycle phase.
