Molecular Control of Fruit Ripening and Sensory Quality of Charentais Melon [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Traditional Charentais melons have a typical climacteric behavior with ethylene playing a major role in the regulation of the ripening process.

Synergistic Fluorine and Cyanide Co‐Modification to Reinforce Photoinduced Excitons Formation and Transfer for Efficient CO2 Photoreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An advanced F‐doped and ─CN group co‐modified FCCN is developed. Due to the synergistic effects of co‐modification in promoting photogenerated exciton generation, enhancing charge kinetics, expanding active interfacial areas, and optimizing CO2 interfacial reactions, the FCCN photocatalyst demonstrates excellent catalytic performance and high ...

ELABORATION OF ELEMENTS OF METHODS FOR APOMICTIC PROPAGATION OF VALUABLE ACCESSIONS OF WHITE HEAD CABBAGE

open access: yesОвощи России, 2011
Exogenous factors affecting on the expression of apomixis in cabbage have been identified. Apomictic seeds developed into embryoids were observed in three cabbage varieties such as Jana, Lazurnaya and Lesia (Ukraine).

The $1/N$ expansion of the symmetric traceless and the antisymmetric tensor models in rank three [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We prove rigorously that the symmetric traceless and the antisymmetric tensor models in rank three with tetrahedral interaction admit a $1/N$ expansion, and that at leading order they are dominated by melon diagrams.

Electronic Modulation of K⁺‐Intercalated Polymeric Carbon Nitride via ─C≡N/─OH Functionalization for Efficient Photocatalytic H2O2 Production

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
K+ is successfully embedded in the PCN interlayers via a high‐temperature polymerization. The incorporation of K+ perturbs the local electronic structure via interaction with nitrogen lone pairs, narrowing the PCN bandgap, which exhibits superior photocatalytic performance, achieving a high H2O2 generation rate both in situ and under sunlight ...

Fine mapping of a novel QTL DM9.1 conferring downy mildew resistance in melon

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2023
Downy mildew (DM) is a major foliar disease globally causing great economic loss in melon production. Utilizing disease-resistant cultivars is the most efficient approach for disease control, while discovery of disease-resistant genes is crucial for the ...

Influence of Metal Species and Content of Fe‐Ni‐Poly(heptazine imides) on their Properties as Electrocatalysts for Zinc‐Air Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Iron/nickel‐modified poly(heptazine imides) are efficient, low‐cost bifunctional electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction and evolution reactions in aqueous zinc–air batteries. Iron enhances oxygen reduction, while nickel single‐atoms deliver oxygen evolution activity comparable to RuO2.
