An oral nanoplatform, MOP@T@D, which can maintain glucose homeostasis and restore islet β cells in diabetic rats is developed. It achieves efficient intestinal absorption and liver‐targeted delivery. The nanoparticle disintegrates only in response to hyperglycemia to release insulin on demand and provides antioxidant protection through selenoprotein ...

Synthetic Nanobiology Actuated Lipometabolic Cell Factory for Autologous Tumor Immunotherapy
FA plays a crucial role in the interaction between tumor cells and the tumor microenvironment, especially for the immune response. A biocatalytic immunoenhancement strategy is developed to boost antitumor immunity by FA metabolic orientation to ceramide. Through the design of this delicate catalytic immunoenhancement strategy, the synthetic nanobiology

Tumor‐tropic human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) were used as delivery vehicles for magnetotheranostic gold–iron oxide nanoflowers. Magnetic particle imaging of the iron component demonstrated widespread intratumoral distribution and sustained retention in contrast to injection of naked nanoflowers.

This work reports the first gram‐scale solvothermal synthesis of ‘Rubik's cube’ nanoparticles—cubic, dendritic multicore structures with tuneable sizes and exceptional magnetic heating performance. Featuring iron oxide single‐domain character, with low coercivity fields, high magnetization, and strong MPI signals, they enable viscosity‐independent ...

Permeability and topography of membranes
In this brief review, we will report that the permeability of both artificial and natural membranes depends at least on the following lipid parameters: (1) The nature of the hydrocarbon chains of phospholipids. Because of a less compact packing of unsaturated phospholipids when compared with saturated ones, the former barrier will be more permeable ...

Lysosome membrane permeability to anions
The permeability of rat liver lysosomes to some inorganic and aliphatic organic anions was investigated, using an osmotic-protection methodology. Lysosomes were incubated at 25 degreesC in 250 mOsm solutions of potassium salts of the anions, in the presence of valinomycin, and the latency of lysosomal hexosaminidase measured at intervals.

This study presents a versatile approach to harnessing miscible aqueous domains, enabling liquid‐in‐liquid compartmentalization using a barrier formed in situ rather than bulk immiscibility. The barrier forms upon the complexation of multifunctional nanoparticles and ligands at the contact boundary of aqueous phases.
