Hierarchical Memory Matching Network for Video Object Segmentation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
We present Hierarchical Memory Matching Network (HMMN) for semi-supervised video object segmentation. Based on a recent memory-based method [33], we propose two advanced memory read modules that enable us to perform memory reading in multiple scales while exploiting temporal smoothness.

XMem: Long-Term Video Object Segmentation with an Atkinson-Shiffrin Memory Model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
We present XMem, a video object segmentation architecture for long videos with unified feature memory stores inspired by the Atkinson-Shiffrin memory model. Prior work on video object segmentation typically only uses one type of feature memory. For videos longer than a minute, a single feature memory model tightly links memory consumption and accuracy.

The Cardozo Memory Project: 9/11 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of September 11, we wanted to get an idea of what it was like at Cardozo Law on that particular day and the days and weeks that followed. Within this publication are the responses we received from our call for memories.

Memory, Neuroscience and Memory Enhancement

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Bioethics, 2020
This paper advances a new and updated understanding of memory that should also change the coordinates of the memory enhancement debate. Instead of thinking of memory as a storehouse, we should think of memory from a narrative perspective. This view allows for a better understanding of the process in which we actually construct our memories by ...

Leveraging current insights on IL‐10‐producing dendritic cells for developing effective immunotherapeutic approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In vivo IL‐10 produced by tissue‐resident tolDC is involved in maintaining/inducing tolerance. Depending on the agent used for ex vivo tolDC generation, cells acquire common features but prime T cells towards anergy, FOXP3+ Tregs, or Tr1 cells according to the levels of IL‐10 produced. Ex vivo‐induced tolDC were administered to patients to re‐establish/

Classical elliptic current algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper we discuss classical elliptic current algebras and show that there are two different choices of commutative test function algebras on a complex torus leading to two different elliptic current algebras.

Is external memory memory? Biological memory and extended mind [PDF]

open access: yesConsciousness and Cognition, 2012
Clark and Chalmers (1998) claim that an external resource satisfying the following criteria counts as a memory: (1) the agent has constant access to the resource; (2) the information in the resource is directly available; (3) retrieved information is automatically endorsed; (4) information is stored as a consequence of past endorsement.
