A GHz‐level memristor emulator with only MOSFET

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2023
SummaryThe MOS‐only memristor only uses the transistor's intrinsic capacitance to realize the memristor's memory effect, which is beneficial to increase its operating frequency and reduce its occupied chip area. This paper proposes a GHz‐level MOS‐only memristor emulator (i.e., PGME and NGME).

Offset reduction on memristor emulator circuits

2015 IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits, and Systems (ICECS), 2015
A technique for reducing the offset at the frequency-dependent pinched hysteresis loop of memristor emulator circuits is introduced. The technique involves at integrating two DC voltage sources in the emulator circuits, keeping not only the circuit size reasonable, but also the original behavior equation of the memristor emulator circuits is not ...

Wave digital emulation of general memristors

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2018
SummaryMemristive devices are nonlinear resistors with memory. Due to the memory effect, those devices are potential candidates for self‐organizing circuits capable of learning from environmental influences in the past. The complexity of single devices with memory in combination with the required huge number of these devices in circuits including them ...

Memristor emulator based on single CCII

2015 27th International Conference on Microelectronics (ICM), 2015
With the introduction of the memristor design by the HP lab, there has been a surge of interest to perform different theoretical and experimental works to investigate various potential applications of the memristor. However, since the memristor is not available commercially, it is essential to design the emulator circuit for the memristors from the ...

A Clock-Tuned Digital Memristor Emulator

2018 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2018
Memristors are inherently frequency-dependent devices that may be limited by a variety of practical constraints such as operating frequency ranges of commercially available devices, or complexity of analog circuit implementations that emulate memristor behavior. Therefore, a novel clock-tuned digital memristor emulator is presented, where the frequency-

SPICE Macromodel and CMOS Emulator for Memristors

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2012
In this paper, a new SPICE macromodel and CMOS emulator for memristors are proposed and verified to fit to the memristor's model equation very well in the entire range of memristor's resistance from the RESET state to the SET state. Compared with the memristor's model equation, average percentage errors in the new SPICE macromodel and in the 4-bit CMOS

A Microcontroller-Controlled Optocoupler-Based Memristor Emulator and Its Usage in a Low-Pass Filter

open access: yesIranian Journal of Science and Technology - Transactions of Electrical Engineering
A nonlinear circuit element called a memristor has become a popular research area today. Circuits that mimic the behavior of a memristor are called memristor emulators. There are many different types of memristor emulators made.

Memristor Emulators: A Note on Modeling

2017
In a recent publication (Yi et al. 2011) elucidating a possible scheme to write information reliably onto a memory crossbar, Hewlett Packard Labs researchers employed a thyristor-based circuit to emulate the off-to-on switching behaviour of a titanium oxide memristor.

Floating Memristor Emulator Circuit

Journal of the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers, 2015
A floating type of memristor emulator which acts like the behavior of memristor has been developed. Most of existing memristor emulators are grounded type which is built disregarding the connectivity with other memristor or other devices. The developed memristor emulator is a floating type whose output does not need to be grounded.

Emulation of analog memristors using low yield digital switching memristors

2013 European Conference on Circuit Theory and Design (ECCTD), 2013
In this paper, we propose circuits for emulating analog purpose memristors (APM) purely composed from digital switching memristors or digital purpose memristors (DPM). Our design is also robust against memristor defects therefore this can be applied even in low yield technology where defects occur at high probability.
