Structure and distribution of rat menin mRNA

Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology, 1999
Menin is a protein product of a tumor suppressor gene MEN1, mutations of which are responsible for multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1, an autosomal dominant familial cancer syndrome. We isolated rat menin cDNA clones from a fetal rat brain cDNA library.

Menin "gio" cocci?

Clinical Infectious Diseases, 1993
SIR-At a recent meeting on Neisseria meningitidis I discovered that I was not alone in my feelings about the frequent mispronunciation of the word meningococci; for some unknown reason, speakers continually pronounced the word with a soft g, resulting in the word meningiococci (meninjococci).

Menin inhibition for the treatment of acute leukemia

Seminars in Hematology
Menin inhibitors are emerging as targeted therapies for acute leukemias with high HOXA gene expression. These leukemias harbor mutations including KMT2A-rearrangements, NPM1c mutations, NUP98-fusions, UBTF tandem duplications and potentially others. Mechanistically, each of these oncoproteins depend on the KMT2A:Menin interaction to maintain critical ...

Menin: The Protein Behind the MEN1 Syndrome

2009
The cloning of the MEN1 gene in 1997 led to the characterization of menin, the protein behind the multiple endocrine neoplasia Type 1 syndrome. Menin, a novel nuclear protein with no homology to other gene products, is expressed ubiquitously. MEN1 missense mutations are dispersed along the coding region of the gene but are more common in the most ...
