Radiative cooling of H3O+ and its deuterated isotopologues [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In conjunction with ab initio potential energy and dipole moment surfaces for the electronic ground state, we have made a theoretical study of the radiative lifetimes for the hydronium ion H$_3$O$^{+}$ and its deuterated isotopologues.

I "Gut" Rhythm: the microbiota as a modulator of the stress response and circadian rhythms

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 292, Issue 6, Page 1454-1479, March 2025.
The stress response and circadian rhythms are essential to maintain appropriate responses to the environment and are known to be impacted by the gut microbiota. Due to the interconnected nature of these important components of physiology, in this review we explore how the gut microbiota may play a role in regulating the integration of stress and ...

Chaperon‐Abgeleitete Kupfer(I)‐Bindende Peptidnanofibrillen stören die Kupferhomöostase in Krebszellen

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 136, Issue 51, December 16, 2024.

An extended finite element method with smooth nodal stress [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The enrichment formulation of double-interpolation finite element method (DFEM) is developed in this paper. DFEM is first proposed by Zheng \emph{et al} (2011) and it requires two stages of interpolation to construct the trial function.

Menkes Disease

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Medical and Health Research
Menkes disease (MD) is a serious mother-to-child disease transmitted by the X sexual chromosome. Copper is involved in the formation of red blood cells, the absorption and utilization of iron, the metabolism of cholesterol and glucose, and the synthesis and release of life-sustaining proteins and enzymes.

Ethanol-Induced Alterations of T Cells and Cytokines after Surgery in a Murine Infection Model

open access: yesInternational Journal of Inflammation, 2017
Background. Interactions between alcohol, infection, and surgery and their effect on differentiation and functionality of T helper cells are not yet completely understood. We hypothesized that alcohol and surgery disturb differentiation of T helper cells

IL-23 and IL-1β Drive Human Th17 Cell Differentiation and Metabolic Reprogramming in Absence of CD28 Costimulation

open access: yesCell Reports, 2018
Summary: Th17 cells drive autoimmune disease but also control commensal microbes. A common link among antigens from self-proteins or commensal microbiota is relatively low activation of T cell receptor (TCR) and costimulation signaling.
