Echinoderm‐Inspired Autonomy for Soft‐Legged Robots
Inspired by echinoderms, a modular soft robot achieves autonomous phototaxis without a central controller or explicit communication. Each limb independently adapts its actuation timing through local sensing and short‐term memory. Coordination emerges purely from physical interactions, demonstrating resilience to changes in morphology, environment, and ...

Astrocyte Enrichment of 3D Cortical Constructs Enhances Brain Repair
This study highlights the role of astrocytes in supporting neural progenitor cell survival and differentiation after traumatic brain injury. Astrocytes enhanced neuronal differentiation, improved cell survival in co‐cultures, and promoted integration of microfluidics‐based implants with host tissue following implantation. Additionally, increased axonal

This study reveals that Urolithin A (UA) counteracts alcohol‐induced cognitive and social dysfunction (AICSD) via a gut microbiome‐dependent mechanism. UA‐enriched Bacteroids sartorii and Parabacteroids distasonis elevate anandamide (AEA), which activates the CB1R‐DRD2‐Rap1 signaling cascade to drive synaptic repair and reduce neuroinflammation ...

Mental Imagery Cracked: Direct Monitoring of the Continuous Movements of Covert Visuospatial Attention During Motion Imagery [PDF]
We sought to provide direct evidence of the attention movements during dynamic mental imagery. Observers extrapolated in imagery the horizontal motion of a target with the gaze in central fixation.

Research on mental fatigue during long-term motor imagery: a pilot study
Mental fatigue during long-term motor imagery (MI) may affect intention recognition in MI applications. However, the current research lacks the monitoring of mental fatigue during MI and the definition of robust biomarkers.

Temporal and Cell‐Specific Regulation of Synaptic Homeostasis by the Chromatin Remodeler Chd1
Chd1, the Drosophila homologue of mammalian CHD2 ‐ a gene linked to autism, epilepsy, and intellectual disability, is required for synaptic homeostatic plasticity. Chd1 in glia is necessary for the rapid induction of synaptic homeostasis, whereas Chd1 in motoneurons, muscle, and glia is critical for long‐term maintenance.
