Menu Costs, Posted Prices, and Multiproduct Retailers [PDF]
We use a unique store-level data set to directly measure menu costs and to study the price change process at a large U.S. drugstore chain. We compare and contrast the magnitude of these measures with similar measures from 4 large U.S. supermarket chains.

Teaching financial crises: A leverage experiment
Abstract College students often struggle to understand the prevalence of asset price bubbles and the difficulty of timing asset purchases and sales. Even economics students are consistently surprised when bubbles burst. These breaks can have real macroeconomic effects, particularly when the price surge is fueled by leverage.
