A MERLIN Study of 6 GHz Excited-state OH & 6.7 GHz Methanol Masers in ON1

open access: yes, 2007
MERLIN observations of 6.668-GHz methanol and both 6.031- and 6.035-GHz hydroxyl (OH) emission from the massive star-formation region ON1 are presented.

An equatorial wind from the massive young stellar object S140 IRS 1 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The discovery of the second equatorial ionized stellar wind from a massive young stellar object is reported. High resolution radio continuum maps of S140 IRS 1 reveal a highly elongated source that is perpendicular to the larger scale bipolar molecular ...

Merlin/NF2 Regulates Angiogenesis in Schwannomas through a Rac1/Semaphorin 3F-Dependent Mechanism

open access: yesNeoplasia: An International Journal for Oncology Research, 2012
Neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) is an autosomal-dominant multiple neoplasia syndrome that results from mutations in the NF2 tumor suppressor gene. Patients with NF2 develop hallmark schwannomas that require surgery or radiation, both of which have ...

NEDD4L‐mediated Merlin ubiquitination facilitates Hippo pathway activation

open access: yesEMBO Reports, 2020
The tumor suppressor Merlin/NF2, a key activator of the Hippo pathway in growth control, is regulated by phosphorylation. However, it is uncertain whether additional post‐translational modifications regulate Merlin.

Predicting Macrophage Spatial Localization from Single‐Cell Transcriptomes to Uncover Disease Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a machine‐learning framework entitled MERLIN that infers the microanatomical localization of macrophages from single‐cell transcriptomic data in structured organs such as the kidney and brain. Applying this method to existing datasets from models of acute kidney injury and diabetic nephropathy uncovered spatially resolved insights ...

Data on the regulation of moesin and merlin by the urokinase receptor (uPAR): Model explaining distal activation of integrins by uPAR

open access: yesData in Brief, 2017
The data presented herein are connected to our research article (doi: 10.1016/j.biocel.2017.04.012) [1], in which we investigated the functional connections between the urokinase receptor (uPAR), and the ezrin/radixin/moesin (ERM) proteins, moesin and ...

A Heuristic Approach to the Quantum Measurement Problem: How to Distinguish Particle Detectors from Ordinary Objects

open access: yes, 2015
Elementary particle detectors fall broadly into only two classes: phase-transformation devices, such as the bubble chamber, and charge-transfer devices like the Geiger-Mueller tube.

Ga Doping Enables Precision Alloy‐to‐Wire Regulation: Synergistic Enhancement of the Mechanical Properties of CuSn Alloy and the Superconducting Properties of Nb3Sn

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By adjusting Ga's doping in Cu–Sn alloy, an ultra‐high elongation of 100.8% is achieved in first time. Ga forms a stable solid solution structure and a stronger electron exchange with Cu. This enhances strength‐ductility synergistically by tuning SFE to balance twinning and slip.

Myrddin et Merlin. De l’onomastique à la mythologie

open access: yesIris, 2020
