Least‐squares collocation meshless method

International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2001
AbstractA finite point method, least‐squares collocation meshless method, is proposed. Except for the collocation points which are used to construct the trial functions, a number of auxiliary points are also adopted. Unlike the direct collocation method, the equilibrium conditions are satisfied not only at the collocation points but also at the ...

Adaptive RPIM meshless method

2011 International Conference on Multimedia Technology, 2011
Combining a kind of new adaptive technique with the radial point interpolation method (RPIM), it yields the adaptive RPIM meshless methods. We solved the classical cantilever beam problem using this method. Numerical results show the accuracy and efficiency of the present method.

Parametric meshless Galerkin method

International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2005
In meshless methods, generation of meshless shape functions is usually a complicated and time-consuming task. In this paper, a new meshless method called parametric meshless Galerkin method (PMGM) is presented. In this method, meshless shape functions are constructed on meshless parametric domains (MPD), before running to solve the problem.
