Chimonanthus nitens Oliv Polysaccharides Modulate Immunity and Gut Microbiota in Immunocompromised Mice

open access: yesOxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
To investigate the immunomodulatory activities of Chimonanthus nitens Oliv polysaccharides (COP1), an immunosuppressive mouse model was generated by cyclophosphamide (CY) administration and then treated with COP1. The results demonstrated that COP1 ameliorated the body weight and immune organ (spleen and thymus) index of mice and improved the ...

Analysis of codon usage pattern in Lonicera × heckrottii ‘Gold Flame’ based on chloroplast genome [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Codon usage bias (CUB) was a unique feature of the genome, and revealing chloroplast genome codon usage bias can provide useful information for the evolution of plant species. Lonicera × heckrottii ‘Gold Flame’ is one of the members of the Lonicera genus

Regulation of Laminaria Polysaccharides with Different Degrees of Sulfation during the Growth of Calcium Oxalate Crystals and their Protective Effects on Renal Epithelial Cells

open access: yesOxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
The original Laminaria polysaccharide (LP0) was sulfated using the sulfur trioxide‐pyridine method, and four sulfated Laminaria polysaccharides (SLPs) were obtained, namely, SLP1, SLP2, SLP3, and SLP4. The sulfated (–OSO3–) contents were 8.58%, 15.1%, 22.8%, and 31.3%, respectively.

Sulfated Mesona chinensis Benth polysaccharide enhance the immunomodulatory activities of cyclophosphamide-treated mice

open access: yesJournal of Functional Foods, 2021
A sulfated polysaccharide (SMP) from the Mesona chinensis Benth was successfully obtained and its immunomodulatory effects were evaluated. Results showed that SMP exhibited the proliferation effects in splenocytes in vitro and ameliorated the impaired of splenocytes in Cy-treated mice.

Immunomodulatory activity of carboxymethyl pachymaran on immunosuppressed mice induced by cyclophosphamide [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The effects of immunomodulatory activity of two types of carboxymethyl pachymaran (CMP-1 and CMP-2) on cyclophosphamide (CTX)-induced mice were investigated. Both CMP-1 and CMP-2 were found to restore the splenomegaly and alleviate the spleen lesions and

Structural Characterization and Ameliorative Effects of Mesona chinensis Benth Polysaccharide Against Deoxynivalenol-Induced Oxidative Stress in Intestinal Epithelial Cells. [PDF]

open access: yesNutrients
Objectives: Deoxynivalenol (DON) is a ubiquitous mycotoxin detected in the environment and foodstuffs. DON exposure can lead to chronic intestinal inflammation. Therefore, intervention strategy needs to be established to prevent the intestinal inflammation caused by DON. Methods: The structure of Mesona chinensis Benth polysaccharide-3 (MCP-3), a major
