Invisible waveguides on metal plates for plasmonic analogues of electromagnetic wormholes
We introduce two types of toroidal metamaterials which are invisible to surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) propagating on a metal surface. The former is a toroidal handlebody bridging remote holes on the metal surface: It works as a kind of plasmonic ...

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Synthesis and characterization of M(II) phosphonates (M = Fe, Co, Zn, Mn) as precursors for PEMFCs electrocatalysts [PDF]
Metal phosphonates are promising precursors for applications such as proton conductivity [1] and catalysis [2]. Specifically, upon calcination metal polyphosphates are generated that can be used as non-noble metal alternatives [3] to the highly expensive

DESIGN OF METAL HEAT CONDUCTIVITY MEASUREMENT USING PROBE METHOD
This study aims to design a tool that can measure the heat conductivity of metals by the Probe method. The design method was used by using a heat-flowed metal beam and the use of an LM35 temperature sensor to measure temperature changes on the probe.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
