A HIGHLY SELECTIVE FLUORESCENT SENSOR FOR DETECTION OF TRIVALENT METAL IONS BASED ON A SIMPLE SCHIFF-BASE

open access: yes, 2018
A simple and easily synthesized fluorescent sensor L, based on condensation reaction of 1-Naphthylamine and terephthalaldehyde, was synthesized and characterized systemically. Both UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopic studies indicated that the sensor L

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

p-type metal-base transistor

open access: yes, 2006
In this work we present data from a novel p-type metal-base transistor with common-base gain alpha similar to 1, fabricated at ambient temperature and pressure by electrodepositing sequentially on a p-type Si collector, a Co base and a Cu2O emitter.

The crystal structure of the Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase BBE22 resolves a long‐standing annotation error

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase (PncA/BBE22) reveals the correct full‐length protein initiated from a non‐canonical AUU start codon. The structure validates previous biochemical findings and resolves a long‐standing annotation error, demonstrating that the truncated database sequence is structurally incompatible with the ...

Metal-Semiconductor-Metal Photodetector Based On Porous In0.08Ga0.92N

open access: yes, 2013
Characteristics of MSM photodetector based on a porous In0.08Ga0.92N thin film were reported. Nanoporous structures of n-type In0.08Ga0.92N/AlN/Si thin films were synthesized by photoelectrochemical (PEC) etching at a ratio of 1:4 of HF:C2H5OH solution for 15min. The structural and optical properties of pre- and post-etched thin films were investigated.

High frequency relaxation kinetics in metal and high-Tc superconductor nanocontacts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The presented work deals with an interesting and relatively simple experimental method, called Point Contact Spectroscopy that permits to study the behaviour of quasiparticles (phonons) in conductive solids: their generation, interactions with electrons,

Base-Metal Nanoparticle-Catalyzed Hydrogen Release from Ammine Yttrium and Lanthanum Borohydrides

open access: yes, 2017
Solid ammine metal borohydrides [M(BH4)m(NH3)n, AMBs] are promising materials for low temperature, high capacity hydrogen generation. Retention of metal halide co-products, arising from typical mechanochemical synthetic methods, is shown to have ...
