The NGB additive can concurrently address anode and cathode issues during Zn‐Mn battery cycling by constructing a hierarchical interfacial layer on the anode surface to alleviate side reactions and modulate zinc deposition and by incorporating Fe3+ ions into the α‐MnO2 cathode to improve its structural stability and electrical conductivity.

This paper is concerned with the mechanism responsible for the internal stress in the electrodeposited metals. Metals such as nickel, chromium, copper, etc., exhibit tensile stress during their electrodeposition, whereas zinc and cadmium show compressive stress.

This study reports a mild “Zn(NO3)2 interlayer‐expansion” strategy combined with electrodeposition to produce a self‐supporting capacitive anode (NiFe@PC) that preserves the wood's native low‐tortuosity channels. The retained native architecture expands niches for microbial colonization.
