Back Flash Overvoltage Damages All DC/AC Converters in Photovoltaic Systems
This research addresses real faults in photovoltaic (PV) systems in Cuba, as these faults result in damage to all converters, whether in operation or not, when atmospheric discharge strikes nearby.

Large dopant dependence of the current limiting properties of intrinsic conducting polymer surge protection devices [PDF]
New two terminal surge protection devices based on intrinsic conducting polymers are demonstrated to be strongly affected by the dopant molecule type. Thermogravimetric analysis combined with current–voltage studies show a causal link between the dopant ...

Photopyroelectric spectrum of MNO2 Doped Bi2O3 - TiO2 - ZnO ceramic combination [PDF]
Photopyroelectric spectroscopy is used to study the energy band-gap of the ceramic (ZnO 0.25 Bi2O3 +0.25 TiO2 + x MnO2), x = 0 - 1.3 mol%, sintered at isothermal temperature 1190 and 1270°C for 2 hours in air.

MOV型SPD在运行时,一些因素会使MOV启动后的电流过大,电流发热量超出MOV热容量就会使SPD失效。国家标准中热稳定实验考查的就是MOV对于这种热量累积的耐受程度。对国家标准中关于MOV(Metal Oxide Varistor)型SPD(Surge Protective Device)的热稳定性判断条件进行试验和分析,对比了直流和交流电压两种情况下的热量累积并设计试验。把直流电和交流电热累积统一到"热阻"的概念,试验表明,直流电造成的SPD发热量比交流电造成的SPD发热量大10%。
