Transport properties and point contact spectra of Ni_xNb_{1-x} metallic glasses
Bulk resistivity and point contact spectra of Ni_xNb_{1-x} metallic glasses have been investigated as functions of temperature (0.3-300K) and magnetic field (0-12T). Metallic glasses in this family undergo a superconducting phase transition determined by

Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...

Merging of the alpha and beta relaxations and aging via the Johari–Goldstein modes in rapidly quenched metallic glasses [PDF]
This paper provides evidence that the physical aging of deeply and rapidly quenched metallic glasses is promoted by the Johari–Goldstein slow beta relaxation, resulting in a significant irreversible increase in the mechanical modulus on initial heating ...

Ductile Bulk Metallic Glass [PDF]
We report on experimental evidence of pronounced global plasticity measured in monolithic Pt57.5Cu14.7Ni5.3P22.5 bulk metallic glass under both bending and unconfined compression loading conditions. A plastic strain of 20% is measured, never before seen in metallic glasses.

Pressure sensitivity of plasticity in metallic glasses below glass transition: a literature review
International audienceThis paper deals with the pressure dependence of plasticity in metallic glasses below glass transition. Recent results indicate that some metallic glasses have such a dependence and that it increases with temperature (Keryvin et al.,

Ductile Metallic Glasses in Supercooled Martensitic Alloys [PDF]
We report ductile bulk metallic glasses based on martensitic alloys. The slowly cooled specimens contain a mixture of parent 'austenite' and martensite phase. The slightly faster cooled bulk metallic glasses with 2-5 nm sized 'austenite'-like crystalline
