One‐Dimensional Materials Supported in Two‐Dimensional Van der Waals Metal–Organic Frameworks with Optical Anisotropy Switching via Twist‐Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a molecular strategy to assemble one‐dimensional (1D) materials into two‐dimensional (2D) van der Waals metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). Crystals of [FeX(pzX)(bpy)] (X = Cl, F) form anisotropic 2D layers that can be mechanically exfoliated into thin sheets.

The role of defect microstructure in the crystallization behavior of metallocene and MgCl2-supported Ziegler-Natta isotactic poly(propylenes)

open access: yesPolímeros, 2003
The intermolecular defect distribution of poly(propylenes) of the Ziegler-Natta (ZN) and metallocene (M) types is assessed by classical fractionation and analysis of the fractions by GPC and 13C NMR.

Synthesis, Characterization, and Cytotoxicity Studies of N-(4-Methoxybenzyl) Thiosemicarbazone Derivatives and Their Ruthenium(II)-p-cymene Complexes

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
The reaction of [Ru2Cl2(μ-Cl)2(η6-p-cymene)2] with two thiosemicarbazones obtained by the condensation of N-(4-methoxybenzyl) thiosemicarbazide and 1,4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)ethan-1-one (HL1) or 2-fluoro-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (HL2) was studied.

Isolation and characterization of a californium metallocene

open access: yesNature, 2021
Californium (Cf) is currently the heaviest element accessible above microgram quantities. Cf isotopes impose severe experimental challenges due to their scarcity and radiological hazards. Consequently, chemical secrets ranging from the accessibility of 5f/6d valence orbitals to engage in bonding, the role of spin-orbit coupling in electronic structure,

Metallocene Antimalarials: The Continuing Quest [PDF]

open access: yesMetal-Based Drugs, 2008
Over the last decade, a significant body of research has been developed around the inclusion of a metallocene moiety into known antimalarial compounds. Ferroquine is the most successful of these compounds. Herein, we describe our contribution to metallocene antimalarials.

Metallocene Catalytic Insertion Polymerization of 1-Silene to Polycarbosilanes

open access: yes, 2015
Metallocene of zirconium were used as a catalyst for an insertion polymerization of 1-methylsilene directly into pre-ceramic precursor polyzirconocenecarbosilane (PZCS) during dechlorination of dichlorodimethylesilane by sodium, which exhibits high ...

(μ-Di-tert-butylsilanediolato)bis[bis(η5-cyclopentadienyl)methylzirconium]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2019
The reaction of t-Bu2Si(OH)2 with two equivalents of Cp2Zr(CH3)2 produces the title t-Bu2SiO2-siloxide bridged dimer, [Zr2(CH3)2(C5H5)4(C8H18O2Si)] or [Cp2Zr(CH3)]2[μ-t-Bu2SiO2] (1), where one methyl group is retained per zirconium atom. The same product

State‐of‐the‐Art and Synthetic Challenges for Hydrosilane Production

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The synthesis of hydrosilanes is currently energy intensive and their recycling is not considered. However, these compounds are important in many industrial fields but also for the valorization of oxygenated waste, towards a circular economy. This review compares the available synthetic routes and highlights the remaining challenges for the production ...

Reactivity and immobiliztion of group IV single-center olefin polyerization catalysts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A large fraction of the commercially manufactured crystalline polyolefins are produced in large-scale slurry and gas-phase processes, which require the polymerization catalyst to be anchored on a solid support to obtain a satisfactory product morphology.
