Synthesis, Characterization, and Cytotoxicity Studies of N-(4-Methoxybenzyl) Thiosemicarbazone Derivatives and Their Ruthenium(II)-p-cymene Complexes

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
The reaction of [Ru2Cl2(μ-Cl)2(η6-p-cymene)2] with two thiosemicarbazones obtained by the condensation of N-(4-methoxybenzyl) thiosemicarbazide and 1,4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)ethan-1-one (HL1) or 2-fluoro-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (HL2) was studied.

Dinuclear Group 4 Metallocene Catalysts of the Type [(Cp2M)2(μ‐Me)(μ‐C2R)]: Structure‐Activity Relationships in Ethylene Polymerization

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Homo‐ and heterodinuclear group 4 metallocene complexes of the type [(Cp2M)2(μ‐Me)(μ‐C2R)] (M = Ti, Zr) are active catalysts for the polymerization of ethylene in the presence of aluminium‐free activators. The catalytically active species are proposed to have dinuclear character and depending on the type of activator, unique reactivity was observed ...

(μ-Di-tert-butylsilanediolato)bis[bis(η5-cyclopentadienyl)methylzirconium]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2019
The reaction of t-Bu2Si(OH)2 with two equivalents of Cp2Zr(CH3)2 produces the title t-Bu2SiO2-siloxide bridged dimer, [Zr2(CH3)2(C5H5)4(C8H18O2Si)] or [Cp2Zr(CH3)]2[μ-t-Bu2SiO2] (1), where one methyl group is retained per zirconium atom. The same product

Coated and Immobilized Polysaccharides‐Based Stationary Phases for Planar Metallocenes Enantioseparation in Liquid Chromatography

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
This study examined 21 new ferrocene and ruthenocene derivatives, including those with planar and central chirality. Their stereochemical behavior was examined using UV‐detected normal‐phase liquid chromatography. Under fixed conditions, eight polysaccharide‐based chiral stationary phases were tested using n‐heptane combined with either 2‐propanol or ...

Enantioselective Synthesis of a New Class of Stable and Functionalized Cyclopentadienes via CuH‐Catalysis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 32, 3 August 2026.
Cyclopentadienes (CpHs) are fundamental building blocks with widespread applications in chemistry. However, their inherent acidity and isomeric instability have long limited access to chiral variants in an asymmetric fashion. Here, we introduce a CuH‐catalyzed asymmetric transformation that provides an unprecedented entry into a new class of ...

Pressure‐Decay Kinetic Modeling of Homogeneous Ethylene Polymerization with Et(Ind)2ZrCl2/TIBA‐Borate Catalyst System in a Batch Reactor

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
A kinetic model comprising both propagation and deactivation functions was developed for metallocene‐catalyzed ethylene polymerization in a batch reactor. The model predicted polymer yields very close to the experimental ones. The polymer molecular weight increased with ethylene pressure and decreased with temperature.
