2,3‐Diboratabutadiene Complexes of Group 4 Metals and their Donor‐Induced Oxidative Cleavage to Methyleneboranes

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 3, Issue 6, November 11, 2025.
GA: We here report the first perarylated 2,3‐diboratabutadiene dianion and its reaction with Cp2MCl2 (M = Zr, Hf) to afford unprecedented 2,3‐diboratabutadiene π‐complexes with unique coordination modes. Addition of an N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) to the complexes gives rise to the donor‐induced oxidation of the BB bond, resulting in two separate NHC ...

Observation of Different Catalytic Activity of Various 1-Olefins during Ethylene/1-Olefin Copolymerization with Homogeneous Metallocene Catalysts

open access: yesMolecules, 2011
This research aimed to investigate the copolymerization of ethylene and various 1-olefins. The comonomer lengths were varied from 1-hexene (1-C6) up to 1-octadecene (1-C18) in order to study the effect of comonomer chain length on the activity and ...

Fragmentable Heterogeneous Cocatalysts for the Metallocene-Catalyzed Polymerization of Olefins, II [1]. Preparation, Characterization and Testing of the Cocatalysts and Microscopic Evaluation of the Polyethylene [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Surface modified silica were reacted with different aluminiumalkyls AlR2R’ (R = Me, Et, i-Bu, R’ = H, Me, Et, i-Bu), oligomeric methylaluminoxane (MAO) and combinations of both, to yield heterogeneous cocatalysts.

Predicting Ti‐49 NMR Chemical Shift With New NMR‐DKH Basis Set

open access: yesJournal of Computational Chemistry, Volume 46, Issue 29, 05 November 2025.
A new NMR‐DKH basis set was proposed for Ti atom and the δ49Ti was studied in a set of 41 + 9 (calibration‐blue/validation‐red) Ti(IV) complexes, resulting in a mean absolute deviation of only 50 ppm with the GIAO‐OLYP/NMR‐DKH/IEF‐PCM(UFF)//BLYP/def2‐SVP/IEF‐PCM(UFF) protocol.

Pyridinethiolate titanocene metalloligands and their self-assembly reactions to yield early–late metallamacrocycles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
New titanocene pyridinethiolate compounds [(RCp)2Ti(4-Spy)2] (R = H (1), Me (2); Cp = cyclopentadienyl; 4-Spy = pyridine-4-thiolate) and [Cp2Ti(2-Spy)2] (3; 2-Spy = pyridine-2-thiolate) have been prepared by reaction of the corresponding Li(Spy) salt ...

Research Progress and Prospects of ZrO2‐Based Catalysts in CO2 Hydrogenation

open access: yesCarbon and Hydrogen, Volume 27, Issue 4, Page 401-419, November 2025.
Herein, we review the multifunctional role of ZrO2‐based catalysts in CO2 hydrogenation to value‐added products, including facilitating H2 dissociation, adsorbed intermediate stabilization, and highly selective C–C coupling while suppressing over‐hydrogenation, which highlights ZrO2 as an active, tunable platform beyond a mere support for efficient ...

Fe-Mediated Nitrogen Fixation with a Metallocene Mediator: Exploring pK_a Effects and Demonstrating Electrocatalysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Substrate selectivity in reductive multi-electron/proton catalysis with small molecules such as N_2, CO_2, and O_2 is a major challenge for catalyst design, especially where the competing hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is thermodynamically and ...

Enantiopure Ferrocene-Based Planar-Chiral Iridacycles:Stereospecific Control of Iridium-Centred Chirality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Reaction of [IrCp*Cl-2](2) with ferrocenylimines (Fc=NAr, Ar=Ph, p-MeOC6H4) results in ferrocene C-H activation and the diastereoselective synthesis of half-sandwich iridacycles of relative configuration S-p*,R-Ir*.

Synthesis of HDPE‐b‐ iPP Diblock Copolymers via Subsequent Coordintive Chain‐Transfer Polymerization and Their Use as Compatibilizers for HDPE/ iPP Blends

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 63, Issue 21, Page 4525-4536, 1 November 2025.
Compatibilization of a HDPE/iPP blend by adding a HDPE‐b‐iPP diblock copolymer leads to formation of core shell structures and restoration of elongation at break in tensile test. ABSTRACT An envisioned circular economy of commonly used polymers, high‐density polyethylene (HDPE) and isotactic polypropylene (iPP), is challenging due to their ...

Copolymerization of 4-methyl-1-pentene with α,ω-alkenols

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2016
Copolymerization of 4-methyl-1-pentene (4M1P) with 9-decen-1-ol (9D1O) or 4-penten-1-ol (4P1O) was conducted by using metallocene catalysts. The activity could be improved under the higher polymerization temperature. The dyad distribution of poly(4M1P-co-
