Niobium uptake and release by bacterial ferric ion binding protein [PDF]
Ferric ion binding proteins (Fbps) transport FeIII across the periplasm and are vital for the virulence of many Gram negative bacteria. Iron(III) is tightly bound in a hinged binding cleft with octahedral coordination geometry involving binding to ...

Photoelectron spectra of metallocenes
Abstract The He(II) spectra of the unsubstituted metallocenes {M(η-C5H5)2}, M V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni and Ru, and of {Mn(η-C5H4Me)2} are reported; both He(I) and He(II) spectra of some decamethylmetallocenes {M(η-C5Me5)2}, where M Mg, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co and Ni, are also given.

Crossing and Anticrossing of Exchange‐Coupled Molecular Spin Excitation Energy Levels
Orientation matters: The excitation energy levels of exchange‐coupled spins of two nickelocene molecules anchored to superconducting electrodes are explored via inelastic electron tunneling spectroscopy. Depending on the tilt angle of the single‐molecule magnetic probe the levels cross or exhibit avoided crossing. Abstract The superconducting Pb tip of

Olefin Polymerizations Oriented by Rational Designs of Group‐13 Compounds
In coordination olefin polymerization chemistry, boron and aluminum compounds play important roles in both catalyst components and monomers. This personal account introduces our recent progress on the development of catalyst systems featured by the design of group‐13 counteranions, as well as the application of boronic acid‐crosslinked polyolefins to ...

Testing DFT ability to predict the stereoselectivity of group 4 metallocenes in propylene polymerization [PDF]
In this study we have tested the ability of a standard DFT computational protocol to reproduce the experimentally obtained stereoselectivity of 26 different C2-symmetric zirconocene catalysts active in propylene polymerization.

Versatile Coordination of Cyclopentadienyl-Arene Ligands and Its Role in Titanium-Catalyzed Ethylene Trimerization [PDF]
Cationic titanium(IV) complexes with ansa-(η5-cyclopentadienyl,η6-arene) ligands were synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The strength of the metal-arene interaction in these systems was studied by variable-temperature NMR ...
