Material‐Gradient Enabled Enhancement of Strength and Strain‐Hardening of Lattice Structures
This study employs material gradients in lattice structures via alloy‐controlled additive manufacturing, decoupling mechanical behavior from geometry. Gradients guide stable plastic fronts, enhancing plateau stress and energy absorption by up to 25.4%.

Mechanism of Carbon Diffusion and Phase‐Transition‐Induced FCC‐TiC Formation via Hot Pressing
A solid‐state diffusion bonding steel‐titanium interface is designed, revealing the formation of continuous micro–nano‐sized FCC‐TiC grains at the interface. Carbon atoms occupying the octahedral interstice in the FCC‐TiC lattice are directly observed.

Nanoparticle‐Functionalized Cellulose Through Biosynthesis‐Only Approach
This study reports the first covalent incorporation of glucose‐modified carbon dots (Glu‐CDs) into bacterial cellulose (BC) via microbial fermentation, resulting in BC nanofibers that exhibit uniform cyan fluorescence. A 3D‐printable hydrogel (Glu‐CDs‐BC‐SA) is developed, facilitating the fabrication of fluorescent structures. This work demonstrates an

Producing Silver Sheet According to Cellini
During a short internship in The Hagues Municipal Museum, I noticed some blisters in a seventeenth century V.O.C.-dish. I thought they were gas bubbles which might have been introduced in the material during coagulation.
