In this work, spherical powders of refractory Ti‐V‐Zr‐Nb‐Mo‐Hf‐Ta‐W high‐entropy alloys (R‐HEAs) have been fabricated in a single step by plasma‐assisted centrifugal atomization. Loss of the heaviest elements in the composition is observed only at rotational speeds higher than 13 000 rpm due to solid‐solid centrifugal separation.

A MEMS Electromagnetic Vibration Energy Harvester with Monolithically Integrated NdFeB Micromagnets
50µm thick sputtered arrays of NdFeB micromagnets are directly integrated into a functional MEMS in‐plane electromagnetic vibration energy harvester. A combination of analytical modeling and numerical simulations guided the design of the magnet arrays and ad‐hoc coil, to produce a high transduction factor.

This work demonstrates fluidic self‐assembly and self‐alignment of flip‐chips using a magnetic field for agitation and orientation. Pb‐free solder bumps with tailored transformation imprinted melting points enable selective capturing on low‐melting solder in water. After capturing, final alignment is achieved through magnetic forces.

Driving Micro‐Objects Using Optical Force due to Fluorescence Emission From Molecules
Emission of fluorescence from a micro‐object in a specific direction is expected to generate an optical force driving the object in the opposite direction of the emission, like a rocket. To demonstrate this ‘photon‐driven micro‐rocket’, we prepared dye‐doped polymer micro‐object (PMO) one surface of which was covered with metallic film; the PMO ...
